Sons da Escrita 160

7 de Março de 2008

Primeiro programa do ciclo Maria Manuel

Ah a cor a noite (Maria Manuel)

ah a cor da noite
de todos os animais
solitários. lenta aparição.
corações feridos na travessia
dos prados quietos.
sombras inclinadas ângulos
rarefeitos na treva.
o céu a tragar a treva
os ramais sem rumo.

cães acossados na nudez do lugar
atravessam a geografia do deserto
inteiro. em nebulosa romaria.

por dentro das grutas insones
pesam as pálpebras líquidas

ah as vozes invisíveis
antigas no medo límpio.

Ships in the night (Jack Bruce)

Ships in the night
Searching for day
Beckoning lips
So far away
Shadows adrift
Hiding from light
Ships in the night
Sometimes you feel
Then again you can't
Morning comes down
Soon after the dance
Time slowly drowns
Streets so unreal
Needing to heal

Harbours of love
Shining so calm
Far beyond pain
Outside of harm
Why must we move
Into the rain
Again ...

Ships in the night
Riding the waves
Yesterday slips
Into the haze
Memories ripped
Sliding from sight
Ships in the night

Maybe you win
Maybe you lose
Future seems like
Just another ruse
Sirens invite
Us to begin
Come right on in

Harbours of love
Shining so calm
Far beyond pain
Outside of harm
Why must we move
Out of the sun
Into the rain
Again ...

Penso as pequenas pétalas (Maria Manuel)

(Forgive me) My little flower princess (John Lennon)

Forgive me my little flower princess
For crushing your delicateness
Forgive me, if you could forgive me

Forgive me my little flower princess
For selfishness
Forgive me, forgive me

Well I know there is no way to repay you
Whatever it takes I will try to
The rest of my life I will thank you (thank you, thank you)
My little...
If you'll forgive me my little flower princess
Never too late unless you can't forgive...

Time is on our side
Let's not waste another minute
'Cause I love you my little friend
I really love you

Give me just one more chance
And I'll show you -- take up the dance
Where we left off
The rest of our life is the...my little
(I'm home)

líquida sinto-a devolver-me a sede

The voice (Moody Blues)

Won't you take me back to school
I need to learn the golden rule
Won't you lay it on the line
I need to hear it just one more time
Oh won't you tell me again
Oh can you feel it
Oh won't you tell me again
Tonight

Each and every heart it seems
Is bounded by a world of dreams
Each and every rising sun
Is greeted by a lonely one
Oh won't you tell me again
Oh can you feel it
Oh won't you tell me again tonight
Tonight

'Cos out on the ocean of life my love
There's so many storms we must rise above
Can you hear the spirit calling
As it's carried across the waves
You're already falling
It's calling you back to face the music
And the song that is coming through
You're already falling
The one that it's calling is you

Make a promise take a vow
And trust your feelings it's easy now
Understand the voice within
And feel the changes already beginning
Oh won't you tell me again
Oh can you feel it
Oh won't you tell me again
Tonight

Oh won't you tell me again
Oh can you feel it
Oh won't you tell me again tonight
Tonight

And how many words have I got to say
And how many times will it be this way
With your arms around the future
And your back up against the past
You're already falling it's calling you
On to face the music
And the song that is coming through
You're already falling
The one that it's calling is you

Each and every heart it seems
Is bounded by a world of dreams
Each and every rising sun
Is greeted by a lonely one
Oh won't you tell me again
Oh can you feel it
Oh won't you tell me again
Tonight

Oh won't you tell me again
Oh can you feel it
Oh won't you tell me again tonight
Tonight
Oh can you feel it
Oh won't you tell me again tonight

Sentamos os nossos pensamentos (Maria Manuel)

sentamos os nossos pensamentos
na discreta curva do rio
leve poalha de terra a circunscrever
o lugar
onde as ondas de vento
olvidam o nome das horas vividas

afundam
na concavidade
mais funda da memória
como engolidas pelas areias nómadas
do deserto
ainda o sol fere os incautos

somos nós, ali despidos
no corpo líquido das águas
somos margem na possibilidade
das horas que não se quedam inteiras

tão pouco resta, fragmentos

Don't think twice, it's alright (Bob Dylan)

It ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
If’in you don’t know by now
An' it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
It’ll never do some how.
When your rooster crows at the break of dawn
Look out your window and I'll be gone
You're the reason I'm trav'lin' on
Don't think twice, it's all right

It ain't no use in turnin' on your light, babe
That light I never knowed
An' it ain't no use in turnin' on your light, babe
I'm on the dark side of the road
but I wish there was somethin' you would do or say
To try and make me change my mind and stay
We never did too much talkin' anyway
So don't think twice, it's all right

It ain't no use in callin' out my name, gal
Like you never done before
It ain't no use in callin' out my name, gal
I can't hear you any more
I'm a-thinkin' and a-wond'rin' walkin’ down the road
I once loved a woman, a child I'm told
I give her my heart but she wanted my soul
But don't think twice, it's all right

So long, Honey Babe
Where I'm bound, I can't tell
But Goodbye's too good a word, babe
So I'll just say fare thee well
I ain't sayin' you treated me unkind
You could have done better but I don't mind
You just kinda wasted my precious time
But don't think twice, it's all right

Ele sabe que o mar não se diz.

as águas espumam sob as gaivotas
na memória do tempo que é seu.
as cinzas serão ondas algas limbos
na luz pura que não é sol nem lua.

cerra os olhos e escuta, ainda
